THE LIGHT BENEATH THE VEIL
Designed by Marissa Reynolds
An immersive art installation exploring tension between concealment and revelation, stillness, and transformation. At it’s core, the work invites the viewer into a suspended moment - a quiet, illuminated breath between the visible and the invisible.
Crystal cubes rest on white pedestals like relics, each one pulsing with colored light from within. Above them, translucent fabric drapes softly from ceiling, evoking veils, clouds, or memory - barriers that both obscure and soften what lies beneath. The drapery casts shifting shadows and filters the glow, inviting the viewer to peer through layers, to pause, to wonder.
This installation speaks to the desire to seek clarity through layers of complexity. The light, symbolic of truth, spirit, and inner knowing, does not blaze - it emanates gently, patiently, as if waiting to be noticed. The veil, meanwhile, offers both protection and invitation - a reminder that beauty often lies in what is partially hidden.
“The light beneath the veil” is not meant to be decoded but felt. It is sanctuary of sensation, where silence and softness illuminate more than brightness ever could.
